Logan business will participate in rail jam
Directive board shop in Logan will be participating in the first rail jam at Cherry Peak Resort on Dec. 19.
The rail jam, held in part to introduce Cache Valley to Cherry Peak, will feature gear from several different companies including Camp Chef, Be Hippy and Directive.
Zach Shepherd, a manager of Directive, said that the company will be giving out shirts, beanies, sweatshirts and decks at the event.
“Our staff will be in attendance and is prepared to donate their time to handle anything Cherry Peak needs from them,” he said. “We’ll have our team competing as well as promoting the store.”
“The whole idea is to get people up there for opening day,” said Nate Salisbury, Cherry Peak’s park manager. “So people can see what Utah’s newest ski resort has to offer and on top of that, a competition for people who want to get on the rails.”
Salisbury said there will be a $5 cover charge and that the first place winner of the rail jam will be given a season pass to Cherry Peak Resort. Second and third places will get day passes. The event will go from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
