About the Reporter
Ben Nielsen was born in Provo, Utah in 1992. Shortly afterwards he moved with his parents to Colonia Dublan in Northern Mexico where he spent most of his life as a white boy in a predominantly Mexican world. This setting helped him master both the English and Spanish languages fluently with emphasis on curse words and a tasteful approach to dirty humor, which he continues to practice to this day.
After graduating high school he went on a Mormon mission to Argentina where his knowledge of crass Mexican terminology helped him to be accepted by the Argentine culture, who found his teaching methods to be both hilarious and inappropriate, yet very informative. When he returned from South America, he was accepted into BYU Hawaii. However, after two wild semesters there, he realized that he loved Hawaii but loathed BYU, so he flew back to the mainland to attend Utah State University where he currently attends classes.
